Testimonial:

After returning from a trip to the tropical rain forests of Central America, I came back with a terrible toenail fungus infection on my big toe.  I struggled for 14 years trying to get rid of it, but nothing worked in terms of home remedies and physician recommendations.  The infection was extremely stubborn and persistent.  I saw an ad for laser treatment for toenail fungus at Cosmetic Laser Solutions and thought I would give it a try as one last resort before finally giving up.  It worked!  After the necessary treatments, I started noticing a major difference with healthy nail growth and I was very pleased with their professional services and advice.  I can now wear my Teva sandals again and it’s great to see my toenail look normal again after all of these years!  I highly recommend Cosmetic Laser Solutions. 10/11/13...Alex

Laser Nail Fungus Removal:  Frequently Asked Questions

DOES THE LASER TREATMENT REALLY WORK?

Clinical studies have shown an 85% effective rate or better for the laser treatment versus leading prescription topical treatment which has a 10% or less efficacy rate.Does the laser treatment hurt? There may be some discomfort from the laser treatment, but it usually resolves as soon as the treatment is over.
WHAT TOENAILS ARE TREATED?

The laser treatment is performed on all 10 toenails or fingernails. Nail Fungus can spread to other nails, so we treat all nails.

WHAT CAUSES NAIL FUNGUS?

Factors that may cause nail fungus include: Trauma, humidity and/or heat, diabetes or athlete’s foot.
HOW DOES THE LASER WORK?

The laser heats the infected tissue which creates an environment where the fungus cannot survive.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

We recommend a three treatment protocol spaced approximately 4-6 weeks apart. There are no restrictions post treatment. Patients may resume normal activities.

Upon scheduling an appointment, pre-treatment instructions will be provided and require at least 2 weeks of pre-treatment care.
WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?

A healthy new nail forms 3 to 6 months after your laser treatment. Even though the fungus should have died from the laser treatment, it takes toenails 9-12 months to grow. Once a nail growth cycle is complete, a new, healthy, white clear nail should replace the infected nail.
IS NAIL FUNGUS CONTAGIOUS?

Yes, it can be contagious. Most often it happens where the air is moist and people's feet are bare. Common places include showers, bathrooms (often in fitness centers). It can even be passed from a nail file. Nail fungus can also spread from one of your nails to another.
